Infinity Pools_Branding and Identity

Infinity Pools is an NFT and Defi staking platform on the Cardano blockchain. My goal was to create a compelling visual language that conveys the project's purpose and goals, that also fits in the world of web3 and NFTs. I have been involved with the project since its inception and have been able to direct its visuals as well as the direction of the project itself, including marketing and the workflow of the dApp.

Logo Design

The logo for Infinity Pools needed to be playful and fun while retaining the seriousness of the dApp that it represents.

I started with the idea of using the infinity symbol and merging it with something representing a pool and came to the isometric construction of the logo. I didn't want to be too on the nose with the representation of either aspects of the look, so I ended up creating the symbol as "impossible geometry", and then deconstructing it to fit the "I" and the "P". Then I was able to use the shapes as architecture for various illustrations and brand iterations.

Design Language

Bright, bold colors accompany an isometric looping world of characters and architecture.

The color palette began with something resembling the Memphis style, but a little more vibrant. I incorporated bold modern type to accompany the palette and the looping isometric illustrations, while staying somewhat minimal considering the wildly different aesthetics of the NFTs that will be featuring on the product's platform.

Motion Theory

Looping animations in an isometric world help to create a consistent language.

Simple applications of animation help with making a more playful look and feel to the design of the website, socials, and promo. I was a team of one on this project, acting as creative director, designer, and animator. My animation skills are somewhat limited so I needed to be able to create animations quickly and efficiently to meet our schedule and to keep my sanity.
