The packaging for the final season of Dexter was made to reflect the enormity of what Dexter had
"accomplished" over his eight year run. This was depicted in a massive storm of raining blood, referencing
Dexter's kills which produced an ocean of blood, referencing the ridiculous body count that he had racked
up over the course of the show. Without knowing ahead of time, the packaging was especially appropriate
as Dexter sailed off into a hurricane in the penultimate scene.
